I am a registered 200HR RYT through Yoga Alliance. I am certified through Akasha Yoga Academy and completed my training in Ubud, Bali, specializing in Hatha Yoga.
I began yoga when I was very young but did not become dedicated to my practice until my early twenties. Yoga was one of the many physical workouts I was doing to keep an active lifestyle. While I began doing more and more of yoga I spent less time going to other fitness classes and became fully dedicated to my practice.
Yoga became not something I had to do but something I longed to do. I sat at my desk job waiting to go to yoga. I got home from yoga and wanted to go back to yoga.
As my love for yoga grew and I spent more time engaged in my practice, I noticed changes not only in my physical body but my mental self as well. A sense of calmness generated throughout me and my mental clarity was through the roof. Health conditions I had since my teenage years left me and I was finally content with my outer being because I was so full inside.
After reaching a place of what I would call optimal health, when looking inside at what had changed, I knew yoga played an extraordinary part.
I became drawn to the idea of sharing my love for yoga, the joy it has given me, and the life it provided me with, with others.
Whether you have never done yoga or have been doing yoga for years, growing in your practice and seeing your heart and mind change is a beautiful experience.
